AI Advice for Enterprises

AI is the process by which machines (especially computer systems) tries to simulate human intelligence process says Vikas Gupta, MD, Wiley India. These processes include reasoning, learning and self-correction. The applications of AI include speech recognition, expert systems and machine vision.

Now let us discuss what exactly the term “AI (Artificial Intelligence)” means today. AI makes use of knowledge, perception and insight to solve critical tasks. AI can perform activities that can go beyond the capacities of human brains. AI can be used to analyze stuff like big data or large scale data analysis. There are various technologies that can be included as the applications of AI. These are as follows: advanced methods of statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning, RPA (robotic process automation) etc. The business executives are investing in artificial intelligence to speed up their digital transformation.

The
effect of AI technologies can be observed in all aspects of today’s business
world, both internally and externally. For instance, enterprises are using
conventional AI so that they can improve their interaction with their customers
and can maintain proper customer relations. Sometimes AI technologies help to
provide an intelligent assistant to the customers and help them to deal with
different critical tasks like balance enquiry and fraud alerts. The most active
user of AI in the IT sector.Almost every department of IT sectors are using AI
than any other technology. The automating activities are software testing,
supplying passwords to the people and rebooting services etc. RPA (robotic
process automation) is mainly applied to IT sectors. Gradually, RPA which used
to be the dumbest form of artificial intelligence is getting smarter day by day.
Some have argued that AI is mainly an analytical technology and for different
organizations, it is a direct extension of what they exactly do with the large
scale data and its analytics. The machine learning, predictive analysis and
statistical analysis were commonly used. But now the organization employed AI
and defined it as more complex types of algorithm. Another method is used in
recent times is “Natural Language Processing” or NLP which is challenging in
nature but making very good progress. Therefore, AI can be designated as an
“extension of analytics” which further helps the enterprises to meet new
challenges as well as overcome it.

The
next point of discussion is the big challenges that companies are facing and
how they are implementing AI technologies to meet those challenges. The stuff
like work redesign, retraining employees, integrating artificial intelligence
with different technological architecture, all of these things tends to slow
down the process of implementation. AI technologies are stand-alone
technologies.The future prospect of AI is that it is going to get merged with
different applications. For example, RPA, that is going to get combined with
deep learning. The companies are ready to buy “AI capabilities” from the
vendors. AI will be going to get merged with different software enterprise in
the near future. The business benefits also comes from merging. The users will
no more consider AI as new or separate application.
